Apple announced on September 2016, iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus are the best iPhone Apple has ever created.  This new iPhone 7 look more or less exactly like the previous-generation iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, continuing to feature the same 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch screen sizes and the same dimensions, but there are a few visual differences and many internal changes.

As expected, the antenna has been redesigned to fit inside the enclosure. This gives the phone smoother lines and less cluttered. On the bottom of the iPhone 7, there’s no longer a headphone jack. The space has been replaced by a second set of speaker holes and larger protruding cameras, which is especially noticeable on the larger iPhone 7 Plus that has a dual-camera setup. The Taptic home button looks the same as last year’s, but it’s a virtual rather than a physical button.

Apple has focused introduced two new colors for the iPhone 7 to replaces space grey. The new models are available in five different colors including two new shades of black. A matte “black” and a glossy black will join silver, gold and rose gold in the colors options for the iPhone. The new shiny “jet black” finish, mirror-like surface will be offered exclusively on the 128GB and 256GB models.

There are a number of improvements to the display on the new iPhone 7, achieved the highest color accuracy, peak brightness, the highest contrast ratio of any IPS LCD display, and the lowest screen reflection of any smartphone display. iPhone 7 comes with LED-backlit widescreen, Apple says it’s 25 percent brighter than the previous generation. iPhone 7 could potentially include the DCI-P3 Wide Colour gamut, introducing more vivid, true-to-life colors and an improved anti-reflection coating to lower screen reflection for better performance in high ambient light. iPhone 7 carries the improved HD Retina display.

Apple introduced the sapphire glass to iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus Devices which is the scratch resistor from all kinds of external conditions. Sapphire glass is unbreakable and scratch-proof. iPhone 7 has 1334×750 resolution at 326 ppi, 1400:1 contrast ratio with the 4.7-inch display and iPhone 7 plus includes 1920×1080 resolution at 401 ppi, 1300:1 contrast ratio with the 5.5-inch display.

3D Touch continues to be an integral part of the display, built into one of the display layers. 3D Touch is an expanded multi-touch feature that allows the iPhone to detect different amount of pressure on the screen in addition to taps, swipes, and pinches. 3D Touch is used across iOS 9 and iOS 10 to enable shortcut gestures called a “Peek” and a “Pop” both at the home screen and in iOS apps. A light press enables a Peek, while a deeper press enables a Pop, and there are unique swipe gestures to open up menus and take actions when using Peeks.

The iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus feature a huge jump forward in camera technology. Apple has designed a new camera system, including a new sensor, new lenses, a new image stabilization array and an updated version of its image-processing chip. It has an improved Apple‑designed image signal processor built into the A10 Fusion chip. Other improvements include faster focus and improved local tone mapping and white balance and more.

Basically, these are entirely new cameras. Both iPhone 7s has 12MP main cameras with optical image stabilization and 7MP front cameras.  Optical image stabilization is built into the iPhone 7, compensating for small movements and hand shakiness when snapping a photo to allow for longer exposure times (3x longer than iPhone 6s).  There’s a new 6-element f/1.8 aperture lens that lets 50% more light into the sensor while keeping photos sharp at the edges. The rear camera is protected by a sapphire lens cover to keep it safe from scratches.

The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus standard cameras have gained 2/3 stop in aperture, dropping to f/1.8 aperture, 50% more light coming in through the lens and hitting the sensor than iPhone 6s. This results in less noise and more detail and much better pictures and videos in low light conditions. Teamed with the new 6-element lens, the camera will deliver brighter, more detailed shots.

 Optical Image Stabilization

The iPhone 7 and 7 plus comes with Optical Image Stabilization. OIS is an advanced camera feature that can reduce blur associated with motion and handshake. A sensor helps the lens counteract even the tiniest movement, allowing for up to 3x longer exposure compared to the iPhone 6s. iPhone 7s with a longer exposure, optical image stabilization reduces motion blur in your footage.

 Quad-LED True Tone Flash

Apple has redesigned 4-LED rear flash puts out more light, 50% brighter and its reaches 50% further than iPhone 6s. Now it’s called Quad-LED True Tone Flash and it adjusts according to the color temperature of the environment, resulting in sharper, more brightly lit photos. it has a flicker sensor that can read the flickering of artificial lighting and can compensate for it in both photo and video.

 4K Video

Videos shot in darker settings with iPhone 7 will look remarkably better, enhanced by optical image stabilization and the all-new ƒ/1.8 aperture. Also the 12MP camera captures high-resolution video up to 4K at 30fps, 1080p at 60fps and 720p at a slow-motion 240fps, with over 8 million pixels. So, you can shoot epic movies of epic moments, even if they’re happening in low light and you can edit your video in iMovie, then share it instantly.

 Slow-Motion Video

This Slow-Motion function on the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus can record rapid movements and reproduce them slowly in your video in 1080p and 720p HD. This is possible by the rapid uptake of several video images, due to the processing power of the Apple new iPhone 7.

 7MP front-facing camera

The FaceTime 7MP HD camera that contains new pixel technologies for sharper images, it also uses Wide Color Capture and Auto Image Stabilization. So now you can take sharper and more vibrant selfies. Worried about lighting? The Retina Flash matches the ambient light for a shot with natural-looking skin tones.

 Zoom into the future (Dual Camera)

The new dual-lens camera of the new iPhone 7 Plus is possibly the most significant upgrade to an iPhone camera ever. iPhone 7 by featuring two separate 12MP rear cameras in a dual camera setup. One is the standard wide-angle lens, and the other is a 56mm telephoto lens. That means you can get higher-quality hardware zoom up to 2x. The Portrait camera for iPhone 7 Plus that applies a DSLR camera, like blur effect over photos using the dual lens system. This is the mode that blurs the background by using the two lenses to measure the depth of the image, separating the foreground from the background, and creating a portrait look.  To achieve the look, the iPhone 7 Plus uses the image signal processor (ISP) to create what Apple is calling a “depth map” from both the cameras working at the same time. The depth effect on the new iPhone 7 Plus can be enabled or disabled in the camera app, and the phone even provides a live preview of the effect on your screen before you take a photo.

AApple has implemented new stereo speakers for the first time, delivering 2x audio output than the iPhone 6s and increased dynamic range. iPhone 7 utilizes the bottom speaker in conjunction with a balanced earphone on the device, instead of a second edge-mounted speaker. They’re much louder than before, and sound decent, with better treble performance in particular.  The iPhone 7 does not have a standard 3.5mm headphone jack. Instead, it has a Lightning port.

The iPhone 7 might look a lot like the iPhone 6s, but it’s been re-engineered from the inside out with new seals and new adhesive techniques to make it more water and dust resistant. It has a dust and water-resistance rating of IP67, meaning it’s entirely dust proof and able to withstand 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes. It’s safe from splashes and accidental submersion.

Tests have proven that the iPhone 7 can survive immersion in a variety of liquids, from coke and hot coffee to sea water. One of the reasons the Home button has been changed is because of the iPhone 7’s headline feature, water resistance. but don’t take it swimming. The iPhone 7 is water-resistant, not waterproof. Still, Apple won’t cover water damage on the iPhone 7 under the warranty, so you’re better off keeping it out of water when you can.

The Home button on the iPhone 7 might look like the iPhone 6s Home button, but it’s no longer an actual moving physical button. Apple calls it a “solid state” button. The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus has different amount of RAM. The smaller 4.7′ iPhone 7 is carrying 2GB Ram and 5.5 Inch iPhone 7 plus is upgraded to 3GB AM may be due to the newly added features called dual camera which consume great image processing background data that procures the high amount of RAM space. The new iPhone 7 will start at 32GB of storage, doubles the capacity of iPhone 6s across the line to 32GB, 128GB, and 256GB. Apple has extended the highest volume to 256GB. The reason behind introducing the beast size of 256GB is to store the number of moving images so-called motion photos.

GSMArena reported that the 32GB iPhone 7 and 7 Plus had significantly slower storage performance than the 128GB and 256GB models of the device. In a new video, Unbox Therapy‘s Lew Hilsenteger conducted a series of speed tests that confirm the discrepancy in storage speeds between the different configurations of Apple’s phone – and it turns out the 32GB iPhone is about eight times slower than the larger capacity storage version of the device.
